New Boston Housing Authority How do I apply for an apartment? Applications may be picked up at the main office at 303 Rice Street, New Boston, Texas during regular office hours or may be mailed to out of town applicants. Completed applications are accepted on Monday-Friday from 1:00-4:00. ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS NEEDED for all persons in the household to begin the application screening.
Verifications of documentation will be conducted at the initial interview. Information provided will be verified to determine suitability and final eligibility. Approved applicants will be placed on a Community–wide Waiting List for both public housing and RD/S8/515 programs. All qualified applicants will be offered an apartment in accordance with the Tenant Selection and Assignment Plan approved by the Department of Housing and Urban Development www.hud.gov, Southwest Housing Compliance Corporation www.aahcnet.org and the New Boston Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. Applicant screening and offers of rental units will be made without regard to race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin. All properties of the New Boston Housing Authority are regularly patrolled for criminal activities by certified law enforcement officers and certified drug detection canines. Violators are prosecuted and lose all benefits from this housing program.
